I am pretty excited to write this post on “How to use Rosemary Essential Oil For Hair Growth”, as I had been waiting patiently for almost three months looking at my hair grow inch by inch, and wishing to blog about Rosemary oil and my hair growth story. Finally! 😀
But wait, on a fun note I want to ask you something before we begin. Have you ever found yourself drawn towards the essential oil section of a departmental store where you carefully pick a tiny bottle of oil, with full interest read the label like an expert and silently keep it back in the shelf either because they seem a bit costly Or you have never used? Well, you are not alone. I used to do the same until I bought and honestly tried some essential oil :p
My first essential oil purchase was Lavender oil, then I went about buying Rosemary oil, tea tree oil and so on. At the moment, I have like 4 to 5 essential oil with me and I have realised that essential oils can be expensive, but if you use it rightly they will last longer and I am sure you will fall in love with the essences of essential oils.
So How Do I Use Rosemary Essential Oil For Hair Growth?
Since essential oils are highly concentrated you will have to use them in very little amount, mostly adding it with other carrier oil.
Rosemary Essential Oil For Hair Growth Recipe:
- 2 tsp of coconut oil (You can get it here)
- 2 tsp of castor oil (You can get it here)
- 4- 5 drops of Rosemary essential oil (You can get it here)
- In a pan gently heat the base oils for few seconds. DO NOT OVERHEAT.
- Carefully take the pan off flame and add 4 -5 drops of rosemary essential oil and give it a quick stir with a spoon.
- Massage this oil into your scalp while it is still hot enough to handle.
- You can leave the oil overnight or wash it after 30 mins.
I love using rosemary oil with coconut oil and castor oil. All of these oils have essential properties that help in hair growth. My hair is wavy and it usually takes really long time to grow, especially when I dye my hair. So, in the last week of June when I colored my hair and I could see how dry and brittle my hair was turning, I decided to try Rosemary oil and see how my hair responds. In 2 and half months, I could see that my hair has grown up to 2 inches long.
If your hair has stopped growing or you want to speed up the growth rate of your hair, try my method for three weeks and see if you can see any improvement.
