After using the product for more than a month, I am so excited to finally write a review on Neutrogena hydro boost water gel.
Having extremely oily skin, I am super conscious on picking the right kind of moisturizer or hydrator for my skin. While, both the terms are usually used in the same line, but there is quite a big difference. So, how do I determine if I need a hydrator, moisturizer or both? Something I thought about before buying the Neutrogena hydro boost water gel cream.
A quick look at Moisturizer vs hydrator:
Understanding your skin is a must while deciding if you should go for a moisturiser or a hydrator. I am not a skin expert, but I know how my skin feels. It’s oily and acne prone.
In case you notice you have dry & flaky skin , then you might want to go for a moisturizer to lock moisture in your skin.
On the other hand, if you have a combination to oily skin, you don’t like the way a moisturizer feels on your skin , and have always been using water based moisturiser for your face. Hydrator can be a great option.
For instance, if your skin looks dull and has fine lines appearing, it just indicates that your skin is dehydrated and needs some hydrator to provide all the nourishment.
Dermatologist tested. Oil free. Non-comedogenic. These were the three things that actually convinced me to try the product and go about writing this blog post. Well, I’ll tell you my experience with the product , but first lets have a quick glance on what the product has to claim and other details before we jump into the Neutrogena hydro boost water gel review.

My take on Neutrogena hydro boost water gel:
My first impression on the product was like “wow! it ‘s really gel based and light on skin, but the scent … hmm”. The scent is very mild and refreshing, but if you know me, I always like skin care products, especially for face to be fragrance free or have natural ingredients fragrance type.Anyway, the fragrance of the product is not too strong, so it goes away after some time of application. Best thing about the product is that a little goes a long way.
I could see the result in 10 days or so. My skin looked more supple and hydrated. I use it twice a day, morning and night. Since it’s Oil free & Non-comedogenic, I feel it works great on oily skin.My only concern was the paraben in it.
I like the product, but next time, I’d love to try hydrator from some other brand which is free of parabens. 🙂
