The thought about ending up looking cake-y is indeed disappointing 🙁  But trust me, if you looking for a good foundation with a reasonable price go for maybelline fitme foundation  🙂 There are many shades available, so finding your right shade wouldn’t be a problem. I picked it up last month and I must agree to all the hype around maybelline fit me makeup foundation.

Warm Nude 128

I am using the shade warm nude and it blends with my skin tone really well. As far as the coverage of the Maybelline fit me foundation is the concern, I feel it gives semi coverage in the first layer. For full coverage, you might need to go for the second layer. However, I like to go with light makeup, so it hasn’t been an issue for me.

Maybelline fit me foundation price in India
It is priced at INR 525 for 30 ml in stores, but you can get it for cheaper online.

Where to buy for best deals: I got mine from Amazon and it cost me just 395 rs . To buy the product click here

Packaging
Comes in a see through the glass bottle. No pumping mechanism.

My final take on the product:
It’s a great everyday wear foundation. I love how this foundation blends so well on my skin, covering my large pores and yet making my skin look so natural. I picked the shade warm nude. I tried natural buff at first but it sort of looked a little dark on my warm tone skin. Warm nude however brightens my skin and sync well with my contour. In terms of coverage, I feel it gives light to medium level of coverage. As the name goes, Maybelline Fit Me foundation is a good matte foundation. Works great on oily skin but those who have a dry skin make sure you moisturize your skin well before applying the product. My cousin, who has dry skin had an issue with the foundation result as she found it pretty dry. But it works really well on my oily skin. It last up to 6 hours. First 3 hours it stays matte and the next 3 hours it appears slightly oily on my T zone.

Pros

  1. Light weight
  2. Great for combination and oily skin
  3. Affordable
  4. Good lasting power
  5. Matte finish
  6. Gives decent coverage

Cons

  1. Packaging is not travel-friendly nor convenient.  Since it doesn’t have a pump to dispense the product, at the finishing time of the makeup foundation, it’s pretty difficult to scoop out the product from the bottle. Also, many a time I end up taking up way to much product.
  2. Not suitable for dry skin.
  3. Does not cover large pores. If you have large facial pores then you will have to have a good pore filler underneath to have a smooth and flawless look. NYX pore filler makeup primer is pretty good. It primes your face as well as fills the pores, giving you a smooth face to work your foundation on. You can have a quick read HERE

  4. Hi yangandbeyond,
I have combination skin and have used this foundation in the shade ‘Natural Buff.’ It worked great for my T-zone but the jaw-line looked incredibly powdery and flaky. Tired of trying out almost all foundation brands, nothing seems to work. Please suggest one with works best with combination skin type.

    • Hi Tenyang, Like i have mentioned that this foundation could turn out terribly dry for those with dry skin but if you moisturize your face well then it would pretty much work fine. Since you have combination skin , try to moisturize the dry zone well before using a primer and see the result. 🙂 Love and hugs Yang

  5. I have the fitme and I have to say I love it although I think I could have done with a lighter shade but still looks great and yes a great price for a great quality

    • It is by far the most affordable and good foundation i have used. I had bought the shade natural buff at first but found it a little darker to my natural skin tone . The second time i got a lighter shade – warm nude and I am pretty much happy 🙂
