DIY Banana Honey Mask For Dry Frizzy Hair

When your hair is deprived of the right care and nourishment, it shows various signs of damage. Dry frizzy hair is one of the signs. It then causes extreme split ends, and when that happens all you could think of is trim your precious hair. For those who love to grow their tresses long, try this really simple DIY Nourishing hair mask before you finally decide to chop your hair.

I like to experiment with natural ways because you know they are safe. In case even if they don’t give you the desired result at least they don’t harm. Lately, my hair has turned way too fizzy and me being so obsessed with my hair I can never think of going for second round of hair cut. So, I decided to try this nourishing banana hair mask to tame my dry frizzy hair. All you need to make this hair mask is 1 ripe banana and 1 tbsp honey. The wonderful properties of honey is believed to help regulate and retain moisture in hair thereby help it grow stronger. Banana helps the hair regain its elasticity and add shine. So what are you guys waiting for? Go grab a bowl, mix both the ingredients and get going. 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 1 Ripe Banana
  • 1 TBSP Honey
  • Bowl
  • Fork or blender

Method: In a bowl mash the banana with the help of a fork or simply blend it in a blender. Once the banana is well mixed, add the honey and give it a good mix.

How to Apply: Shampoo your hair as usual (you can skip the conditioner) and towel dry it. When your hair’s still damp, section your hair and start applying from the ends. After you have applied the mask evenly on your hair, wear a shower cap and leave it on for 30 minutes. Finally rinse your hair with cold water. 🙂

Note: I used the fork to mash the banana, but I suggest you use a blender to get the best texture. If you don’t have a blender, you can still go about using the fork provided you mix it thoroughly. I say that because my mixture turned out a bit lumpy and turned out that there were still some mixture of the hair mask left behind even after the rinse.
